Hello Kickstarter!
Let’s start by acknowledging one word - PANDEMIC.
We have accepted that the landscape looks vastly different than when we started. We all faced difficult circumstances and new opportunities to engage the tribe have arisen. We are moving forward, creatively revising our plans and continuing to focus on health, responding to the new needs of our Community and showing up with transparency. In this May update, we will share our evolving recovery plan, latest production timeline and answers to some Frequently Asked Questions.
While companies big and small have folded before our very eyes, so many of you have reached out with an outpouring of support for the wellbeing of our family and enthusiasm for our products. We are deeply moved by these compassionate conversations. It has made us feel like we are all part of a globally connected reVessel family. We started building this for you and now we are building this together WITH you. We will continue to work tirelessly to deliver the next generation of reVessel products in right timing.
The road to recovery is certainly complex and still very uncertain. Recouping 2020 losses with any stimulus funds that may be available, capitalization and, most importantly, sales will all help to get us back on course. There’s always the risk of any number of variables changing and interrupting our plans. We also know what a tremendous crowd exists in the Kickstarter Community and if you're enrolled in the idea, you will soon have an invitation to gather a few friends who may be ready to join you on this journey while you get new perks. You will have an email in your inbox later this week from reVessel with an opportunity to generously share what you are helping to create and connect the future of functional, durable, elegant food storage to those who care. Stay tuned. There's no penalty if this isn't for you.
Good news...Our factories are currently back up and running. We are unable to travel, however we continue to find ways to refine the two initial components so we can move into the subsequent parts. We anticipate completing the remaining four molds toward the end of August, moving into production by early September and shipping out to you in December.
More good news... The Adventure Kit was just featured in Outside Magazines 2020 Summer Buyer's Guide. The editors tested, reviewed and selected the first generation Adventure Kit as a "Site to Behold" for big outings.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
I’ve seen the reVessel Adventure Kit online. Is this different than the Kickstarter campaign?
Yes, our first generation model of the Adventure Kit in white was first introduced on our website at the regular price of $125 and also featured in Outside Magazine. We have been shipping this flagship product since 2019 in the US only. Kickstarter backers have first access to new products brought to Kickstarter like the Explorer Kit, exclusive new colors and the latest Adventure Kit model at Kickstarter-only prices and the first worldwide shipping. We will continue to promote our first generation model as these sales are essential to manufacturing of new products, like those on Kickstarter.
Can I change my shipping address?
Absolutely. If you need to change your shipping address, you can access the original BackerKit link that you received when you filled out your official color options survey and first entered the shipping details. If you can't find that original link, this link will help you get started: https://revessel.backerkit.com. Once logged in you’ll see an “Edit Your Address” button at the top right.
If you run into any problems, you can send us a private message in Kickstarter with your new address information, and we will make the change in the BackerKit system. Once complete, we will email you a screenshot confirmation to make sure it has been entered correctly.

Just like that! The world is different. The globe slowed, quickly became a bit more complex. We have all taken on more responsibility and been forced to surrender to that we cannot control. reVessel has pivoted to 1) focus on the health and safety of our team, customers and community, 2) looked to how we can use our gifts to serve in new ways and 3) prioritized long-term viability and transparency. Despite the uncertainty, our Company's vision has never been clearer or in line with what the world needs - connections to the things that truly matter...to health, to planet and to meaning. It is just going to take us longer to get there. We can't thank you enough for your patience and support.
A growing commitment…
Our eagerness to serve our communities in the new normal is evidenced by more practical strategies to stretch the food budget, build efficiencies in the kitchen using our very own kitchen tools, connect families and maximize healthy food. Protecting health is number one priority. We want you to be fully prepared for your reVessel products when the time comes, so we'll be sharing favorite recipes and new demos on our blog and instagram page.
Building resilience…
As a young organization, these turbulent times undeniably knocked us on our bums. We've had travel, sales events and audits all cancelled, just to name a few. The disruptions dried up months-worth of planned income and added unforeseen expenses. As for our long-term viability, it is all about staying in the game so we can keep our promise to you. To help get through, we have thought long and hard about how to honor our VIP Kickstarter tribe while still moving forward. We are in the process of seeking additional capital to weather the storm and concluded that we must re-open pre-order sales of the Explorer Kit and complimentary accessories to position us for a realignment. You may see promotions available in the US. Keep in mind our incredible backers will still be the first to receive the Kickstarter offerings as soon as development is complete. You can think of it like an extended Kickstarter campaign without the deep discounts we offered on the platform. We are eager to get these original products into your hands. Rather than succumbing, we are finding new ways to build bridges. We are embracing our Company value of being willing to stumble, get back up, find solutions and adapt.
Onto Progress...
Our development methodology is intentionally sequenced because our products rely on precise harmonization. This is not a process we can or should rush through. Of the seven new molds we have invested in as part of the project, the first two are nearing final stages. With the prior experience, we have been able to make some adjustments to improve upon prior iterations. These improved parts will establish the final architecture for all remaining parts to be fitted and tested against. Once done, we can begin working on subsequent molds.
Looking for rays of sunshine…
More people are getting back to the kitchen to learn or enhance the fundamental skills of cooking we have largely lost. The kitchen has been an outlet in our home as we grow more and prepare more food that boosts the immune system and nourishes. YES to seeing the light!
As we celebrate Earth Month and Springtime, we are sending thoughts and prayers in this time of crisis for safety and peace. While we are also grieving the loss of lives, routines and jobs, we are fueled by your belief, so thank you for sticking with us. You are helping bring to life empowering tools to make the world a better place. Only together, will we make this happen! reVessel is a family-owned impact-driven company. Important reVessel Production Status Update

Dear Backers,
A heartfelt note to share progress and circumstances impacting the world today. We have been closely monitoring the spread of the coronavirus where more than 2,000 lives have been lost since the crisis began 51 days ago. Our partner factories overseas have been shut down with limited or no access to communication while complying with the directive of the government. Lunar New Year was extended and we are receiving reports that some factories will be opening in the coming weeks, more than 3-4 weeks later than usual. Many factories will not open for several more weeks and will have to undergo a thorough inspection beforehand.
During this time of uncertainty, reVessel has looked to alternative paths and taken the opportunity continue the development of our premium, functional and sustainable products for optimal health.
The schedule for product offerings from Kickstarter will be delayed due to the massive supply chain interruption, however, it is our hope that each of us will pause and remember the lives that are directly affected by this unpredictable health tragedy. As quickly as we move toward progress, equally as fast the world can seem to come to a halt. These seemingly distant events in the world should cause pause to reflect on human fragility.
We are committed to staying the course, supporting our stakeholder partners in health and restoration of their businesses and shipping out as close to the original March and June dates as possible. In this February update, we want to offer the latest updates. Pictures of the nature-inspired color samples are now shown below! If you have yet to complete your survey or wish to make any changes, now is the time to get a jump on it.
On February 5th, 12pm, pst, all orders for both March and June will be processed with the credit card on file. If you are unsure whether your survey is complete, you may access your BackerKit account from this link: https://revessel.backerkit.com/
Also, to help avoid any confusion with the add-ons section of the survey, please know that add-ons are optional to build upon your existing reward and customize your original system. For example, if you have pledged an Adventure Kit in sea foam, selecting the "Leakproof Lid Kit" add-on option will add a second Leakproof Lid Kit since the Adventure Kit already comes with one. If you are considering a backup, the Leakproof Lid Kits are great options for those who would like additional colors and/or those who have backed the Storage Bundle reward.
